This is a fascinating study! It seems to have many implications related to how we provide children feedback and a tendency to provide overly positive feedback even when it is not warranted. What are your next steps for this work?
Thank you! It does have those implications you mention, and adds to what we already know of the dangers of creating an unwarranted self-esteem bubble, which tends to create greater (not less) fragility when faced with challenge. We are working on next steps (e.g., testing in middle-school girl’s PE/sports) and are hoping to begin in the new year.
